NDIS Ordering, Quotes and Tax Invoices

Arco Brush provides clear product information, quote support and payment-ready tax-invoice details for people who need documentation before arranging a purchase. This page explains the practical ordering steps for self-managed and plan-managed participants.

Arco Brush is a U-shaped sonic toothbrush option with a flexible full-mouth mouthpiece, five vibration settings and a 45-second guided timer. Some participants, families and support teams explore this type of assistive toothbrush when the usual daily brushing routine needs more support. Review the Starter Kit before arranging documentation.

Important: Arco Brush does not decide whether an item is funded by the NDIS. Funding depends on the participant’s individual plan, goals, disability-related needs, available budget and supporting information. If you are unsure, check with your plan manager, support coordinator, my NDIS contact or relevant health professional before purchase.

Can Arco confirm an NDIS purchase pathway?

No. Arco may be worth discussing where a person has difficulty completing daily oral-care routines and needs a product option that fits their individual circumstances. Arco cannot confirm funding, reimbursement or claim approval.

The National Disability Insurance Agency describes low-cost assistive technology as equipment or devices that may help a person complete tasks affected by disability. Even where an item is low-cost, the NDIA says it needs to be directly related to the person’s disability, support their goals, meet NDIS funding rules, be safe to use and be supported by appropriate evidence where required.

At A$434.50, the Arco Brush Starter Kit is below the NDIA’s published $1,500 threshold for low-cost assistive technology. That price alone does not determine whether an individual participant can use NDIS funding.

Choose the ordering pathway that matches your plan

Self-managed participants

If you self-manage, you are responsible for paying providers and making claims through the relevant NDIS portal or app. You may make a claim after receiving an invoice, or pay first and then make a claim, depending on your circumstances. The NDIA says self-managed participants should keep purchase records, including receipts, for five years.

Arco can issue a final tax invoice with the participant or authorised payer details needed for your records. Before issuing, check that the participant details, payer email and delivery address are correct.

Plan-managed participants

If your plan is plan-managed, your plan manager generally submits claims and pays providers on your behalf. Arco can provide product details, a quote before purchase where appropriate, and a final tax invoice for the named plan manager or authorised payer.

Before asking Arco to issue an invoice, confirm the plan manager’s name, email address, participant details and any purchase-order or plan-manager reference they require.

NDIA-managed participants

Arco’s current invoice workflow is designed for self-managed and plan-managed ordering. If your plan is NDIA-managed, speak with your support coordinator, plan manager or my NDIS contact before ordering to confirm the appropriate pathway.

What Arco can provide

Arco can provide the information needed for a plan-manager review or a self-managed record, including:

Document or detail What it is for
Product information Helps participants, families and professionals understand the product and routine considerations.
Quote support Helps a plan manager or support team review the intended purchase before it is confirmed.
Final tax invoice Includes the supplier details, participant/payer information, product price, payment terms, payment reference and bank details.
Professional information pack Provides practical product and routine considerations for occupational therapists, support coordinators and care teams.

How to request an invoice or quote

  1. Review the Arco Brush Starter Kit and consider whether a mouthpiece-style brush and vibration are suitable for the person’s preferences and routine.
  2. If you need plan-manager or self-managed paperwork, use the Arco invoice form.
  3. Enter the participant details, payer type and payer email carefully. The final tax invoice is sent to hello@arcobrush.com.au and, when authorised, to the named plan manager or self-managed payer.
  4. Keep the invoice and supporting records with your other NDIS documentation. Self-managed participants should follow NDIA record-keeping requirements.

Routine and suitability considerations

Arco Brush is a full-mouth sonic toothbrush with a flexible mouthpiece and guided brushing cycle. It may be worth considering when traditional brushing is difficult to complete consistently because of dexterity, coordination, fatigue, sensory preferences or the need for carer support.

Suitability is individual. Consider comfort with a mouthpiece-style brush and vibration, the person’s ability to tolerate oral contact, cleaning and charging responsibilities, support available at home or in a service setting, and dental advice. Arco Brush does not replace clinical assessment, dental advice or regular dental care.

Frequently asked questions

Can Arco guarantee that my NDIS plan will pay for the product?

No. Arco cannot guarantee funding, reimbursement or claim approval. The decision is individual and sits with the participant’s plan, the relevant funding rules and the applicable decision-maker.

Can the invoice be sent to my plan manager?

Yes. Select the plan-managed pathway and provide the plan manager’s name and email address. The final tax invoice can be sent to the authorised plan manager, while a copy is also sent to hello@arcobrush.com.au.

Can I use the invoice if I self-manage my plan?

Arco can issue a final tax invoice to the self-managed payer. The NDIA explains that self-managed participants are responsible for paying providers and keeping the relevant records for their claims.

What should I discuss with an occupational therapist or support coordinator?

Discuss the person’s current oral-care barriers, previous strategies, sensory preferences, mouthpiece tolerance, required prompting or supervision, cleaning and charging responsibilities, and whether a product trial or further advice is appropriate. See the professional information hub.
